So today I am 35 years young. As I look ahead to my 35th year on this earth, I make a wish for love, contentment, compassion and the ability to serve those in need.
As I look back on my 34th year, a feeling of resilience overcomes me. I can honestly hand on my heart say that my 34th year really tested me. I was at my lowest point and sunk to lows I never even imagined were possible. The very identity of my being was shaken. My faith and beliefs in both myself and this world were tested… again and again.
Truth be told I never want to feel that low again. But I refuse to be afraid of them feelings anymore. I refuse to let fear rule me. There is only space for love, faith and hope in my life from this day forward.
